About Us
We were formerly dairy farmers in the Waikato for over 25 years, until injury forced us to make a dramatic change in our lives. What to do was the big question. Both of us have a passion for fishing, motor bike riding (on and off road), the Coromandel and people, so the logical thing to do was to put all these things together into one package. That’s how "why worry" came to be. Charter fishing seemed a good idea, thought I would make a whole lot of new friends doing something I have great passion about. The hours especially in the summer are longer than i was a dairy farmer but it’s a good lifestyle and its loads of fun taking a good bunch of people out fishing. But the pressure is on you to find them fish and some of the time especially in winter that can be hard work. The biggest buzz is taking people new to fishing and kids, watching and helping them catch fish is great i love it. Other sports of interest are motorbike riding, dirt, road, it’s awesome fun, any kind of racquet sports are a bit of me.
We are both easy going, fun loving kiwis. Jennifer does speak Dutch as well. Both Mark and Jennifer are trained first aiders so in the event of any accidents or illness we will be able to offer assistance and get any help you may require.
